Arula Ratnakar is a science fiction author with stories in Clarkesworld Magazine. Her novella "Fractal Karma" was a finalist for the 2025 Ignyte Award. She is a computational neuroscience PhD student at Boston University, where her research is on mathematically modeling embryonic neurodevelopment.
